The Fabulous Blues Brothers & Aretha(AUS)

The Fabulous Blues Brothers & Aretha is a high-octane celebration of rhythm, blues, soul, comedy and pure live-show chaos! Inspired by the iconic 1980 film and its Saturday Night Live beginnings, Jake and Elwood along with the queen of soul are back on a mission to deliver one seriously fun night out at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Friday 19 February!

Expect the suits, the shades, the deadpan comedy and the full force of The Fabulous Blues Brothers Show Band, with a roaring horn section tearing through favourites including Soul Man, Gimme Some Lovin’, Shake a Tail Feather, Everybody Needs Somebody, Respect, Think, Chain of Fools and plenty more. Add the unmistakable music of Aretha Franklin into the mix and you’ve got a big, brassy night of blues & soul that doesn’t let up!

This isn’t a sit-back-and-be-quiet tribute show. It’s loud, cheeky, energetic and built to get the whole theatre moving. Previous audiences have called it “absolutely phenomenal”, saying “the band was tight, the energy was electric and the crowd were on their feet dancing the whole night!” Another raved, “Great show, band was cooking, the production was fantastic, sounded sweet, Jake & Elwood spot on & Aretha wow wow wow!”

Backed by The Fabulous Blues Brothers Show Band and packed with great music, comedy and larger-than-life performances, The Fabulous Blues Brothers & Aretha is a feel-good night out for Blues Brothers fans, soul lovers and anyone who simply wants to have a bloody good time!

The Fabulous Blues Brothers & Aretha’s 2027 Australian Tour comes to The Princess Theatre, Brisbane on Friday 19 February 2027.
