Stage Door Sessions is your backstage pass to the inside of this intimate music experience with Magandjin/Brisbane's talented artists. Set in the cozy Greenroom at The Princess Theatre, it’s a space where raw talent meets real connection. Whether it’s a new spin on a favourite song or an acoustic performance, we’re all about creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where artists and fans can connect on a deeper level.

This edition of Stage Door Sessions brings together two of Brisbane's freshest noise and shoegaze talents - 01 Thurman & Ivory.

01 Thurman

01 Thurman is the indie rock project of Josh Bartlett. Off the back of an impressive output of demo tapes, 01 Thurman has carved out a unique space that calls upon sprawling post-punk as much as it does fuzzy noise pop. These home recordings act as a vehicle for the controlled chaos of 01 Thurman Band's live sound, the four piece showcasing a mesmerising presence that has landed them on lineups with various heavyweights both locally and interstate.

Ivory

Ivory is a three piece noisy shoegaze rock band from Meanjin, inspired by the classic reverb and atmospheric sounds of shoegaze, as well as the grit and rawness from the post-rock genre, their live experience feels both intimate and overwhelming, turning raw internal dialogue into sound. Amid Brisbane's buzzing yet underrated shoegaze scene, Ivory have found their feet amongst the tight-knit supportive community, where every band rallies around the next, they're proud to represent a city that champions its own.
