Stage Door Sessions is your backstage pass to the inside of this intimate music experience with Magandjin/Brisbane's talented artists. Set in the cozy Greenroom at The Princess Theatre, it’s a space where raw talent meets real connection. Whether it’s a new spin on a favorite song or an acoustic performance, we’re all about creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where artists and fans can connect on a deeper level.

This edition of Stage Door Sessions brings together two distinct voices in Australian folk music - Jordan Merrick & Ella Hartwig.

Jordan Merrick

I came to Brisbane in 2014, planning just a stopover - but I never left. From Annerley's streets to Karawatha's pines, this city became home. I've grown here, writing songs inspired by train rides, West End nights, and the city's resilience through floods and the pandemic. Tracks like Record Time, Fault, and Lonelier Than You were born from that grit. Brisbane has shaped who I am and what I create. And while much has been written, there are still many pages left to fill.

Ella Hartwig

Brisbane-based folk/country singer-songwriter continues her steady rise in the Australian music scene with a sound defined by heartfelt storytelling and emotional depth. A finalist in Brisbane City Council's The QUBE Effect 2025, she's gained acclaim for her raw and honest songwriting, showcased beautifully in her live studio performance of "Backup". With performances across Queensland and beyond, Hartwig is carving out a space as one of the most promising new voices in Australian folk and country music.
