The Lemonheads are an American alternative rock band formed in 1986 by singer-songwriter Evan Dando in Boston, Massachusetts. Known for their blend of punk, folk, and pop influences, they gained mainstream success in the early 1990s with their album It’s a Shame About Ray (1992), featuring the popular cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s "Mrs. Robinson." Dando’s heartfelt songwriting and distinct voice became hallmarks of the band’s sound, with their music often exploring themes of love, loss, and self-reflection. Despite various lineup changes over the years, The Lemonheads have remained a beloved band in the alternative rock scene, continuing to tour and release new music.
