EVENT RESCHEDULED

The Paper Kites on Friday 27 August 2021 has been rescheduled due to COVID-19 restrictions on interstate travel. The events will now be taking place on Thursday 27 January 2021 at The Princess Theatre. Your tickets will be valid for this new date and you don’t need to do anything, just hold on to your tickets.

Should you no longer be able to attend the event, you have the option to request a refund prior to Friday 13 August by logging into your Moshtix Account and following these steps. If you created your booking as a Guest, Sign Up here to register and access your tickets using the same email address that was used for the booking.

From their very first EP, 2011's Woodland, The Paper Kites had found a devoted audience for their sound, and by early 2012 they were headlining shows across Australia. Along with their recent platinum certification in Australia, the band have also received gold and platinum certification in Canada, The Netherlands, Italy, and New Zealand for their single “Bloom.”

The Paper Kites have since opened for the likes of Passenger, City and Colour and Bombay Bicycle Club, and completed a number of local and international headline tours, selling out rooms like the Fonda Theatre (Los Angeles), Paradiso (Amsterdam), and the historic Forum Theatre (Melbourne).

The indie-folk group haven't played in Australia in 2 years, and in that time, The Paper Kites have written and recorded their fifth studio album Roses, which has just been released to the world.

Open Season is supported through Tourism and Events Queensland, the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, and both the Live Music Australia Fund and the Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) – initiatives of the Australian Government.

As of 17 December 2021 it is a Queensland State Government mandate that patrons, staff and artists above the age of 16 need to be fully vaccinated with an approved Covid vaccine to enter The Princess Theatre. Please do not purchase a ticket to this event if you will not be fully vaccinated by this performance date. You will need to provide proof of double vaccination upon arrival at the venue and patrons who fail to do so will be refused entry.
